Ingredients

1 1/2 oz Single malt Scotch whisky
1/2 oz Pommeau du Normandie
2/3 oz Lemon juice
1/2 oz Sugar syrup 'rich' (2:1)
1/2 oz Egg white (pasteurised)
4 fresh Cranberries (fresh)

How to make

Serve in a coupe glass

Method

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill a COUPE GLASS.
  2. 2 SHAKE all ingredients with ice and strain back into shaker.
  3. 3 DRY SHAKE (without ice).
  4. 4 FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

Flavour profile

History

Apple and lemon juice pair well with Scotch whisky; in the Vanity, this combination is enhanced by apple appearing as Pommeau de Normandie. This cocktail benefits from the sweet and sour fruitiness that fresh cranberries contribute but is still tasty without them.
