History
Dry, crisp, refreshing and cleansing. Sip, contemplate and feel like the world is yours.
In the 1980s, the Vodka & Tonic surpassed the Gin & Tonic as Britain's most popular drink. Its fame grew with frequent appearances in television series like ITV's Minder, which aired from 1979 to 1994. The comedy-drama featured Arthur Daley, a trader known for his unscrupulous dealings. He was a regular at the Winchester Club, where he would order "a large V.A.T" – a pun on Value Added Tax. Since Arthur never paid for his drinks, "stick it on the slate" was a common phrase after his order.
