Ingredients

3 Unspecified
1 1/2 oz Light white rum
1 1/2 oz Strawberry liqueur
1/4 oz Sugar syrup 'rich' (2:1)
1/2 oz Whipping cream

How to make

Serve in a martini glass

Prepare

  1. 1 Select and pre-chill a MARTINI GLASS.
  2. 2 Prepare garnish of strawberry in rim crowned with tip of mint sprig..

Method

  1. 3 MUDDLE strawberries in base of shaker.
  2. 4 Add other ingredients.
  3. 5 SHAKE with ice.
  4. 6 FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

Flavour profile

History

Takes some effort to get through the fine strainer, but rewards with strawberries and cream and the faintest hint of alcohol. Wimbledon is all about strawberries & cream.

This cocktail was created in London during the 1990s, a period when any drink served in a V-shaped glass was referred to as a Martini.
