123 Organic Añejo (Tres) Tequila

More than halfway through the bottle now. So I feel this was ample time to review this well made Anejo tequila. I thought the whole Organic thing was new/different and could possibly deviate traditional methods I've tried in the past. Boy was I wrong! This was so pure and flavorful. No elevated/artificial tasting sweetness. Aroma was filled with green peppers, oak, and some vanilla. The flavor bomb within provided me with freshly grinded pepper and citrus fruit/peel. A lovely emergence of agave came after. So smooth. Makes one yearn for the next sip. I'm sold on the organic tequila bandwagon now. Hoping to see more follow suit.

123 Organic Tres delivers a quality anejo tequila. The slightly honied gold color with elegantly defined legs leaves a great impression in the glass. Rich vanilla and maple aromas are complimented with toasted nuts, figs, and oak. The flavors follow suit with oak, black pepper and spices, vanilla, nutmeg, whipped cream not only in flavor but also in texture, and a slight alcoholic astringency.

Smooth on the front end with caramel notes. Traditional bite with more smoothness on the back end. You can drink it or sip it. It's so good, I would sip it.

Lots of winter pie flavors: caramel, cinnamon, allspice. It’s very smooth and very easy-drinking. A hint too sweet for my taste.

I didn't associate the flavor with tequila!... or at least I didn't know it!... it has traits of Sotol or Tuxca

Perfect balance of agave and the new oak. Great weight on the palate and nice clean finish.
