On the nose there us a pleasant oak and juicy fruit gum with just a hint of cotton candy. The nose follows through on the pallet with a touch of caramel and vanilla. This sip is prickly on the tongue with the burn coating the inside of the lips and mouth, reaching just the top portion of the throat. The flavor largely disappears quickly as you swallow with only a hint of oak remaining, but the warmth is long lasting. Adding water dilutes the flavor but not the burn or prickly mouthfeel.
