The sample reviewed comes from Batch 001, aged for 5 months in a 53-gallon, hogshead barrel with a level 3 char. This single malt whiskey uses both peated malt and Maris Otter malt, which was originally created for brewing cask-conditioned ales. This whiskey was mashed, fermented, distilled, matured and bottled on site at the distillery in Saint Paul, Minnesota. It is sold in 375ml sized bottles.
