Four Roses sib versus 1792 sib frys pick blind Dram 1 (four roses) - Nose: Floral sweet light fruit and a tiny bit of ethanol Dram 2 (1792) - nose: smooth fruity nose with a tinge of spice. It has a well-rounded nose it's like equally fruity spicy sweet. And I'm not saying that's necessarily the best thing because I like some weirdness and funk sometimes but you definitely can't be offended by this whiskeys nose. Dram 1 taste- getting a sweet, cereal, light spice w/ a little bit of ethanol. A light sweet spicy finish. I get a little mineral candy vitamin tonight as well. Dram 2 taste -Smooth, sweet, spicy very well-rounded. It almost makes me feel like it's a blend. It just has a very good balance of the spicy, the Sweet, the fruit but nothing stands out nothing says wow look at that. It's definitely an easy sipper, nice medium viscosity and a sweet spicy finish. Tonight the 1792 wins. I feel 4r takes more chances and I love them for that but this sib was a little hot and too cereal. The 1792 is a frys pick and that may mean something.

Big bite, lingering spice, heavy and totally enjoyable. More of a woody flavor but not oak.
