1845 Preemption Single Barrel #90 Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey 5 years

Delicious 1845 Preemption Texas Straight Bourbon 5 years old Single Barrel #90! My first pour brought a waxy new oak aromas and it grew beautifully after that. The aromas transformed into cinnamon, anise, ginger ale cola, and a caramel toffee that is so great! But you need to distance your nose from the cup to get the beautiful caramel toffee and cream soda from it. But it’s very good! On the palate is sweet and spicy as it’s supposed to be. More baking spices, like peppercorn, ginger with a very sweet finish towards vanilla and brown sugar/molasses and salty caramel. You don’t feel the heat of a 119 proof. It’s so smooth and delicious! It’s a great experience and I’m very glad I got 2 bottles signed by the owner and the master distiller. It’s really at par or above any high tier EH Taylor or any Russel Reserve, Old Forester or even Eagle Rare. It’s definitely a winner! Slainte Mha!
