Strong ethanol nose. Heavy, wheat dominant juice. Black licorice is prevalent with earthy, grassy substance. Very subtle hints of honey and perhaps some citrus and vanilla on introduction. One review mentioned a Scotch like resemblance - I agree. Perhaps it is the 4-grain mash that makes it diverge from traditional bourbon. Batch B-23.

The nose is very layered. Rich pipe tobacco and rye spice, tempered by oak and red fruits. Tastes bright and hot. More rye. Caramel and oak. Spicy herbal notes as it finishes. There’s a lot going on after cracking the seal. Will definitely come back to this bottle after a while. Good pour!
really good young bourbon. it doesn't taste that young however...tastes pretty similar to a good Barrell bourbon. nice brown sugar and mouthfeel...good apple, cherry and chocolate orange thing going on. Finish is really good...fairly long. Colorado's top bourbons come from Laws.
The marriage of this 4 grain’s components have won me over. Revisiting this bottle it a treat. Have since picked up another bottle. Top shelf. Special occasion. The balance of the rye, wheat, corn and barley is spot on. Just a wonderful whiskey, very impressive.
Skunky and less than tasty. Decent nose, but reeks of ethanol and not in a good way. The taste is light at first then hits you mid palate with ethanol and heat, again not in a good way. Too hot without any flavor nor nuance to make it interesting. Hard pass.
Tried it years ago and enjoyed it, but wasn’t blown away. Bought a bottle again as it was the first time I’ve seen it in years and it’s stunning. Sooo much more nuanced and subtle (in nose and taste) than I remembered. Amazing stuff.
