The nose begins with a refreshin note of malted grains and citrus fruits. It is lively and bright. Sweeter notes of chocolate, cinnamon and pastry crusts also appear and give a nicesoft edge to the nose. The palate is smooth like honey, with caramel, custard and treacle flavours. It is thick and mellow on the body, which really brings out the sweeter notes. There is also a wonderful spice that adds warmth to the overall flavour. Oak comes in towards the end and really wraps the flavours together. It finishes on more honey and oak, which is elegant and flavoursome.
