Aberlour 14 Year Double Cask Matured

Aberlour is a classic speysider, known for a caramelized apple flavor and a easy drinkable spirit. This is a new 14 year old, double cask matured expression, in european sherry oak and american oak barrels. Bottled at 40%abv, tawny color. On the nose, a nice, fruity personality. Red apples, Pepper and Pear. Very fruity; Some dim citrus like grapefruit. A super pear aroma, so clean and accurate. After a first sip, a fancy home made toffee appeared with Some creamy vanilla rising. On the palate it is very easy to drink, yoi can hold it for hours. Red apples and Clove. Incredibly smooth, a second sip gave me vanilla, mashed apples and Toffee. Aftertaste is very balanced, making this dram a very coherent spirit. Dry grass, hay, Tobacco and Clove. Very brown-grassy in most of the notes here. Overall, this is a very round whisky. It is nothing too special in any of its parts, but not bad at all. It is very enjoyable and perfectly balanced. It is a perfect everyday whisky. My score for it is a solid 80 over 100, scoring 20 points in each criteria.

Aberlour 12 Double Cask (Single Malt Scotch, 40% abv) 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 17/09/2024 Ankara Burun Kurutulmuş meyveler, meşe, kırmızı meyveler. Malt. Alkol hissiyatı düşük. Suyla daha tatlı hale geliyor, vanilya, biraz baharat. Tat ilk anda alkol hissediliyor, kırmızı meyve ve portakal. Kuru ve sade. Şeri fıçılarından gelen kırmızı meyve ve portakal marmeladı tonlarına tatlı baharat çağrışımları eşlik ediyor Bitiş Dolgun, orta ve yumuşak bir bitiş. Bir partisi Amerikan meşe fıçılarında, bir partisi de İspanyol şeri fıçılarında yıllandırılmış, iki parti finalde biraraya getirilerek şişelenmiş. 40 derece alkollü güzel bir single malt. Su eklenerek yudumlanmalı. 80/100

No aroma, muita baunilha, caramelo e Sherry bem destacado. No sabor, leve notas de frutas escuras, lembrando mirtilo, caramelado bem profundo, leve toque esfumaçado, e ligeira mineralidade. Corpo oleoso, finalização média em intensidade e duração.

Nose: Vanilla, Blackberry, Toffee, Milk Chocolate, Brown Sugar, Raisin. Palette: Spices, Candied Orange, Vanilla, Green Apple. Finish: Medium, Slight Bitter Taste, Woody.

Nose: Vanilla, apples, plums Palate: Apples, vanilla, plums Finish: Oak, plums Very nice combination of fruitiness and sherry notes. The low abv halts the score here.

Fixes a lot from the 12yo expression, has a better kick on the palate and also a better wine/red fruit profile without adding too much on the aftertaste
