The spirit is so woody and complex, it's a virtual madrigal dance on the taste buds and in the nose! Oakey, furniture polish, medicinal, tobacco, leather, full, briny and so much more! I never knew a Scotch could be so complicated and I could taste so much in it! This along with the stunning Bowmore Darkest Islay 15-year are my two favorite scotches of all time! Speyside being generally non-peaty, the latter being peaty--yet both aged in Sherry casks... Heaven!

Nose: sherry, leather, gasoline Mouth: strong burn, raisin, sherry bomb, fig. Water added opens up the sherry taste. Finish: more fig, sherry. Pretty good, 7/10.
