Didn’t taste too much of anything in particular but that just strengthened my view that it’s a well balanced bourbon. A bit of sweetness along with the spice. A nice go-to bottle when you’re not sure what you’re looking for and just want a nice glass to kick your feet up with. That being said, I stepped outside into the cold crisp air and could all of a sudden smell dark fruit and vanilla coming from my glass. Agitator is a dark horse in the bourbons world and worth getting to know.

A mild sweetness to the nose. For a non age statement it doesn't smell like a young whiskey. An easier drinking bourbon than you might expect for 43% alcohol. Not a very strong oak flavor. But well balanced. Definitely sweet and not very spicy. A decent whiskey for beginners. Even advanced whiskey connoisseurs would find enjoyment in this bottle.

AnttiRG 3.5

An elegant Kentucky Straight Bourbon by O’Neill Vintners and Distillers in Kentucky aged in red wine barrels. It has an aromatic birth with notes of grain, wood & baking spices; while a spicy life adds notes of sweet corn, rye, oak, cooked red fruits, clove & cinnamon; that led to a balanced death of medium length. There's a nice aroma here but it's buried under alcohol burn for me. Harsh initial hit, a little sweet, then the wine barrel on a medium tail. Interesting but too harsh for me to really enjoy neat. However the wine cask makes it very good for a Boulevardier, absolutely recommend it for that.

Spirited Away 3.5

Lovely nose containing the red wine barrel and vanilla bean. The taste had a fleeting burn that led to a corn/grain character. Soft oak and hints of the red wine emerged later. Nothing to write home about, but a decent everyday sipper.

Chris Melillo 3.5

Has a pretty bold cask wine finish. It definitely is unexpected. Once you wrap your head and taste buds around it, it’s a really nice sipper.
