It is a decent Scotch for the price. Good enough to finish the bottle, not good enough to buy again considering the other great Scotch options for reasonable prices. (Macallan, Glenlivet, Chivas, etc all offer a better Scotch for a similar price.)
About this bottle
Bottled by Alexander Murray & Co, this single malt sourced from an undisclosed Highland distillery was initially aged in ex-bourbon barrels before finishing in casks that once held Sauternes, a sweet wine produced in France's Bordeaux region. It carries no-age-statement and is bottled at 40% ABV.

Color is darkened golden yellow, like vegatable oil. Nose is sweet, a little floral. Heather. Candy corn. Palate starts out sweet honey, pineapple, has distinct white wine acidic notes, a touch of barrel then white wine finish.
nice light, sweet honey and citrus. not as full as the oak cask and easier to drink
