Monumental 18 Year Blended Scotch Whisky (Alexander Murray & Co.)

A complex, Blended Scotch Whisky by Steve Lipp founder of Alexander Murray based in LA, California from an Undisclosed Distillery in Scotland made with a blend of 75% single malt & 25% grain Whiskies matured in ex-Bourbon casks for 18 years.' It has an aromatic birth with notes of malted barley, oak, toffee, strawberry, vanilla & yogurt; while a rich & creamy life adds notes of butterscotch & palm sugar; that led to a long & complex death with notes of milk & spices. March 2020 / August 2022

Quintessential sherry cask finished, friendly highland blend. Bold backbone if caramel flavors, almost a bourbon nose, no grass notes.

Butterscotch up front, smooth oaky finish. Light bodied, but it grew on me.

Sweet with a earthy tabacco like finish. I really dig it!
