I bought this a while back because I liked the bottle and I found it on sale for about $25 so I gave it a try. First off the bottle is cool with a snake coiling around a shotgun shell. The bourbon inside is not bad to above average depending on your tastes. in the glass it is a light tan color with vanilla and cream notes and it looks thin. The body is nice and smooth with more cream coming out with a little bit of oak and something else I can't put my finger on. It has a medium length in how long it lingers but it is pleasant the entire time. The finish is nice with no bitterness. This stuff makes a good Old Fashioned with the flavors holding their own in the drink. In a Manhattan, I had to be careful of the vermouth so it would not wash out the bourbon. Overall, this is a solid to above-average bourbon in a gimmicky bottle I could definitely see getting this for someone as a gift especially if they did not like bold bourbons or whiskeys. Enjoy.

Visually, the bottle is amazing, the Gadsden rattler wrapped around an oversized shotgun shell is eye catching and I will admit that I bought it because of the bottle. The bourbon itself is meh at best. The color is more yellow than amber. The nose is okay, with a slightly woody smell. I was extremely disappointed in the taste. The tongue primarily picked up corn with some slight caramel and a big alcohol punch in the end. It was more like drinking a flavored moonshine than a bourbon. I am not a fan of technologically aged bourbon, and this one did not change my mind. I will drink it, and then use the bottle to hold better tasting bourbon in a less attractive bottle.
The nose of the whiskey smells of sweet corn mash extremely reminiscent of a white dog. It starts with corn, and quickly transitions into the scent of flour and is then overpowered by alcohol. It is not pleasant. On the palate there is a young woody flavor. The vanilla one might expect from a bourbon is not present. The flavor is also very grain forward. Again, the alcohol overpowers the rest of the profile. Aged too long to be a white dog, and not long enough to be a bourbon.
I'll need some more time with this one ....... per the owner "the best part about is the bottle" so far that is true ...........It is more palatable to me than Beam.. it has kind of a sour dough taste (?) to it - it's better after something I know I like than b4 somehting I like - oh and the bottle is very cool> PS: my kid went to IU too - so I thought I'd toss a little support your way
Oof. Hard to call this a bourbon. Closer to just straight un-aged corn wiskey. Loads of ethanol throughout, and has the slightest cream taste on the tail, but the 75% corn mashbill quickly washes it away. Could be good if it was aged just a few more years. Cool bottle at least
The bottle is awesome! It will serve as an infinite bottle when I’m done! The whiskey is 70% corn, not a fan. Very harsh. For 86 proof it’s got a bite! Would highly NOT recommend! Not bad in cocktail cause it holds it’s on due to the high corn/rye mash bill! Cheers!
