All I can say is wow! Had my wife blind pour me 1 of 7 bottles I hadn’t opened yet, not thinking she would open this. That being said, the other bottles were nothing to scoff at so I really had no idea what this was. The nose immediately blew me away and I knew I was in for something special. The palate continued to impress and then the finish lingered on and on with a nice sweet end. I have nothing bad to say about this pour at all. I was hesitant to pull the trigger but so happy that I did. As I am writing this review I am smacking my lips and it’s still surpassing my expectations. I will be savoring this bottle for sure!

This review is based on the drink being neat. The nose is a very mild with buttery bread, cinnamon, and apple. Even burying your nose in the glass isn't going to bring out the alcohol burn to the senses. The pallet is a mild corn and vanilla. The port sweetness comes through in the end and sits on the tongue like a whisper. It has the initial burn to the tongue, but turns smooth as it makes it's way down the rabbit hole... This is a very mild drink. Be great on a hot summer night outside taking in nature and listening to the sounds that are around you.
Interesting to say the least. Nose is pretty mild and palate is all over the place. Finish has a definite non-alcohol burn, maybe like cinnamon? The Tawny really influences the taste when drinking neat. Add a cube and all of a sudden the flavors balance out and it gets much easier to drink. Also calms the finish. At first I was unsure, but after adding the ice it was impressive.
Lots of grapes on the nose, thanks to the port finish. Some green apple and a hint of cranberry too. The fruity-ness continues into the palate, but to a lesser extent, with some oily, vegetal notes coming to play as well. Finish has an unexpected punch, but nothing too crazy, with far more savory notes of corn and a twinge of mint.
Nose- vanilla with fruit trees in bloom and in fruit Body- cherry coke and birch bark Finish- the cherry continues with some black pepper zings on the tongue This is fanfuckintastic! Reminds me of a Willett select. Gonna try to find this one. Stock and Barrel Knoxville
All I can say is I blinded this against PVW 15, Four Gate Split Stave, and Old Fitz 14 and it tied PVW for first. Beside the rich traditional bourbon flavors and complexity there is no offending flavors at all, just nothing I don’t like. This is simply a great bourbon.
