I was looking so much to this one and it just wasn't.... at least for now (neck pour). The nose clearly shows the Oloroso Sherry influence, but then there was a little funk(iness) that took over a little of those notes away. The palate gave me notes of banana and tobacco or leather, followed by a little funk. The finish is smooth, not sweet, rather a little dry with dark fruits and a little spicy, but short to medium. At 40% ABV, I wish it could be higher. I will let it rest and try again in a few months. I got a feeling that the funk will remain.
