Think sitting beside the fireplace on a cold night. Not for the faint of heart with regards to peatiness as it made my eyes water with too big of a sip. I bought a bottle because of its reputation and its darn good but not worth it's price. Don't get me wrong, it's solid, smoky, warming, full of spice and cinnamon and oaky to its core.

Got the opportunity to try this one. Great dram. On the nose, there was some lime zest, a little saltiness, and citrus notes. The palate had more saltiness, and citrus notes, with plenty of peat to give you a nice flashback to a BBQ, but not overwhelming. Great drink..
Cloudy gold. Something you would expect to find in a sunken pirate ship. Wet bacon and apple salad with a drizzle of petrol. Hint of pungent cocoa. Long smoky finish. This is the real deal.
On tte nose like fresh cut grass, or new tenis balls on the can. The tadte is hot spicy, smoked bakon, salt and sweet retrotaste. Good balance, exelent option!
Nose of iodine, peat and smoke leap from the glass. Brilliant! Engulfs the mouth coating it in all things Islay. My new moto "the Beg to beg for".
Old bottle, opened prob 2014. Mellowed, but still the sweaters Ardbeg. Finished the bottle the day before knee meniscus surgery.
