This expression was released as a travel exclusive. It consists of a peated malt that was created as a reference to historical styles of Highland single malts. It is matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and 120 L quarter casks.

Not too bad drop at all. Relatively heavy peat , goes on easy but not too much complexity. Tasted with several mates as part of a flight of whiskeys. definitely prefer it to the legacy version.
Evokes: Texas barbecue Mesquite smoke, but lacking more complexity to bump it up to a 4. Lovely mouth feel and finish though.
First experience with peated whiskey. Opens up with 2 tblsp water. Full bodied. Slight smokey flavor
A pretty decent pour, but without the smoke I am not sure there is much more depth to it.
Light smooth sweet smell, medium burn in the mouth with mildly sweet taste
