I’m usually a bourbon guy through and through but picked this up a few months back and didn’t care for it, however, in the time since I’ve started branching out into scotch and remembered I had this at the back of the bar. Upon tasting it a second time, I was pleasantly surprised. A hint of peat smoke and dried fruit with a touch of cherry and chocolate ice cream(?) here but what really stands out in this bottle is the oak barrels. The oak compliments the more traditional scotch flavors in a way I’ve not tasted before!

Ive gotten into American single malts recently and love this take. Kind of a peach pie and vanilla thing going on, definitely heartier than a lot of single malt Scotches.
