First sniff and yeah this one’s got some proof and it knows it. Big caramel, vanilla, oak, and spice all jump out at once like they’re fighting for attention. Smells bold and smells like I’m not stopping at one pour. First sip comes in warm then chills out real quick. Sweet caramel and vanilla up front, spice and oak right behind it. The proof adds flavor not chaos. Finish is long, warm, and absolutely invites another sip even though you probably shouldn’t. This needs a cigar that can hang. Padron 2000 Maduro or Perdomo 10th Anniversary Maduro. Don’t light anything weak. Bottom line, Augusta Old Route 8 Single Barrel is high proof done right. Fun, flavorful, and slightly dangerous

This was a very good mouth feel with a lot of caramel flavor. The proof adds to the flavor. There's a dark fruit on the palate with a tobacco and oak finish.

Nice little complex pour. Oak, grain amd caramel start off the flavor with a little spice about 3/4 into it.
