Backstage Southern Whiskey earns its name from creator, country star Darius Rucker, who gives a traditional backstage toast with his bandmates before every show. Rucker and his partners created brand 843 Whiskey, releasing this whiskey, which is bottled at 84.3 proof. First released in Rucker's home state of South Carolina, this whiskey can also be found in Georgia, Kentucky and Tennessee, with plans to roll out nationwide.

Nose: Dark/ earthy, brown sugar, oak, chocolate, smoke and ash. Palate: Flat, even more chocolate, brown sugar, vanilla, rye bread. Dark color. May have Caramel color added and may also be mixed with nuetral grain spirits, but I'm not sure. An unusual flavor profile. No alchohol burn to speak of.
