Rye and Rested is 55% rye blended with the Pinckney Bend American Rested Whiskey (80% corn, 15% barley, and 5% rye). The rye is aged in new, standard sized whiskey barrels, where the Rested is aged in new 15-gallon barrels. Every 40 minutes the Missouri pacific railroad passes the distillery, which sits 300 feet from the tracks. This allows the whiskey to experience a “seismic” event.

Very light in color. Spicy nose. Super spicy, sharp and hot initially. Thin mouthfeel. Lots of oak and corn come through on later sips. A single drop of water adds some heft and a fruitier profile. 3.7.
