It was very hot. There was a lot going on, but it can be synthesized as follows: oaky, spicy, orange tootsie pop. Very unique, distinctly Texan,* and rather enjoyable. *Oxford comma brought to you by @rbember5

About this bottle
Waco, Texas-based Balcones partnered with Houston’s Saint Arnold Brewing Company for this limited edition whiskeys. To celebrate the brewery’s 25th anniversary, Saint Arnold released Grand Cru, a blend of three bourbon-barrel aged beers: Belgian-style quadrupel, Russian imperial stout, and English-style barleywine. Balcones then used those barrels to finish this whiskey released at cask strength.
