About this bottle

This bottling is the first organic rum produced in the Dominican Republic where this rum brand is based. It is made with organic sugarcane which was grown on the Ron Barceló estate and is distilled from fresh sugarcane juice, not molasses just like the rest of their rums. After distillation, the rum is aged in new American oak barrels before blending and bottling. Available nationwide in the US as of April 2022.

The nose is bright, woody and elegant. A dry and lightly sweet entry, with a hefty dose of oak cask. A round character on the mid-palate, while there is a somewhat tannic edge towards the sides of the tongue. Very friendly and full of character, this is a great spirit for tropical styled cocktails and aged rum forward classics. We appreciate the care and unique aspect that went into the crafting of this rum, and fully support their efforts to go the extra mile to keep our planet sustainable.
