Nice, toasty, woody nose with a buttery top note. The initial impression upon tasting is of a dense, intertwining of flavors. Elements of heavy tannin, dark caramel, walnut, hazelnut, bittersweet cocoa, medium roast coffee bean, and ginger cake are all here. The body is medium-heavy with a comprehensive mouthfeel. The finish is extra long with softer, fruity notes of baked apple, banana bread and praline coming out to wave goodbye. Quite the expression, and quite the experience.

Glass: Glencairn, rested 15 minutes. Color: Medium amber. Nose: Caramel, butterscotch and graham crackers. A hint of baking spice. Palate: Cinnamon and baking spices. Finish: Long and very warm. Splash: Some of the caramel and butterscotch return. Cinnamon is reduced. Overall: 7.5/10 - This will probably be good on the rocks, but doesn't quite have the complexity to be great.
Nose has notes of apricot and lavender . Palate feels like it drinks at a lower proof than i expected. Flavors of lemon grass and leather . Oak presence with notes of vanilla and salted caramel. Very good batch . From memory i would put this as one my favorite BB batches. I have had it unopen for about a year , but if i find another batch 34 , i will bunker a bottle .
Nose is predominantly raisin, cinnamon and leather with sweeter notes of caramel, brown sugar and vanilla also appearing. Notes of vanilla and caramel stand out on the initial sip. Palate evolves to spicy rye and toasted oak notes on the finish. Medium finish that accentuates the oak and rye notes. Overall a quality bourbon with classic flavors.
Thanks to adam and jen for buying me this bottle for my bday!!! Tried neat. On the nares cinnamon, clove, cinnamon roll, whipping cream. On the palate its intitally spicy and hot but super smooth and delic. Ill finish rating this when my wonderful brother in law come to visit @Looneyhead … its much more fun that way
Orange blossom, caramel, choclate, salt. Complex, spicy, bright, surprising. Footnote: the expert reviews on here routinely sleep on Barrell bottles. Curious what’s up with that. For example, Four Roses Small Batch scores higher (92) than this (91) which is silly.
