Aroma - okay. My immediate reaction is “this is tremendous and complex”. Probably the best smelling Barrell Bourbon I’ve had to date. Massive caramel and vanilla notes. Tons of deep oak character. Also getting a nice balance of red fruits (strawberries and raspberries) blended with dark fruits (plums come to mind). There is a cake presence here as well. Like most BCS products, every time you come back to the glass, a new note pops up. It’s just awesome Taste - Follows the nose 100%. Insane complexliy… Viscosity is awesome… My entire palate is coated with this tremendous whiskey. Overall - Wow. This is by far the best Barrell Bourbon Batch that I have had. I really thought 031 was incredible and wish I still had that vanilla bomb to blind this against. 4.75 easily.

Every time I try this I notice something different: a bouquet of candies and fruits, a high rye background, slight cherry and mineral note.... it continues to open up.
First pour. Spicy, viscous, coating, semisweet, cherry syrup, caramel flambé, dried fruits and baking spices. Long peppery finish.
Awesome nose, drinks a little hot, a cube would probably bring out the flavors better
Cinnamon, stone fruit, berries. Very good. My favorite of the past few batches.
Caramel and baking spices on the nose, finish is pretty long, lacks complexity
