Basil Hayden Malted Rye

Bye the time is reached this display at the whisjey tasting, i was feeling right frisky. I made the mistske of trying their subtle smoke first and bravely ran away after a wee taste. However, I returned to try this surprisingly light gem. I cabt give you the nose because after getting right tarted up who cares sbout the smell? We!re here to drink. I tasted cinnamon, vanilla, something sweet thst yet escapes me. I could drink her again.

Very little complexity. Very smooth and easy to drink. Would rate it higher if there was a bit more interesting. Don't get me wrong, I like it, it's just a bit basic.

Definitely can't approach this comparing it to ordinary bourbons. Sweeter tasting, not bitter. Interesting for a change of pace

Light and spicy on the toungue, fresh herbs and apple on the palate and sweet flowery finish.

Nose: floral, dill, oak, fruit Taste: rye, cinnamon, vanilla Finish: rye, spice, sweet

Really enjoyed this lighter tasting rye. Was a nice easy first drink for the weekend.
