Belfour Small Batch Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Nose: Light smokiness which is a bit unexpected with just the small batch. Pallet: Slight tingle on the tongue with young notes and a hit of char. Finish: At first it’s null but then just a little heat and sourness on your tongue. This was a fresh bottle and maybe a little air will mellow the spice and bring out the sweetness. Smooth and sweet this not but if your looking something with a Smokey edge then this will work. I find the first pours our the least enjoyable so I’ll try this again after some time but at close to $74 I’d need to raise the bar.

It’s a good quality bourbon. Classic and yet… something is keeping me from loving this. There’s nothing wrong with it, no flavors that are “off” but can’t get over the jump of this is t better than a $30 WT101 kinda thing.

This is a very tasty small batch, but knocking it down a little because of the cost.

This bourbon is absolutely delicious on the rocks with a hint of butterscotch.

Tasty, a bit smoky. Nice finish
