NOSE Vanilla taffy, spice, dark sweetness, copper, herbaceous, citrus, nuts and baking spice with a slight Play-Doh note. Pleasant. A light fruitiness slowly arises as it opens, but it doesn’t shift the core profile at all. PALATE Grassy grain, toffee, baking spice, herbaceous, vanilla, touch of candied ginger. This palate is going to be VERY divisive, but at least it will stand out in the market. FINISH Medium -> Grassy (almost corn husks), toffee and vanilla pod fade to a grassy candied ginger.
A subtle, complex aroma of maple, vanilla, and chocolate. Perhaps cardamom notes, as well. Thicker mouthfeel than the 4-year Corn, and sits in the back center of the tongue. Warm and smooth, opens up without a need for water. Autumn spices and grain flavors are favored. Lingering flavors of toasted oak.
Subtle spices, vanilla, caramel and maple on the nose. Velvety entry on the palate where cinnamon, vanilla, caramel and creme brulee dance lightly. Finish is short with light caramel and baking spices. A light, pleasant sipper, but ultimately forgettable.
Nose: vanilla with a soft sugary smell (almost like a sugar cookie), maple Taste: vanilla, light spices, mild heat, nice lingering finish, there’s something sweet and cinnamon like that I can’t quite put my finger on.
It's a fine whiskey, but leaves a little to be desired. Smells a little like sugar cookie, with an unfortunate note of cleaner. There's a dark sweetness to it, possibly a snickerdoodle or molasses-ish taste.
