Really like this gin. Corn-based neutral spirit. Hot and spicy, like rye. Its pretty crazy. Creamy. Dry. Makes a great negroni. No citrus notes like modern gins. Just a dry floral bomb. I like it.
About this bottle
Big Spring Spirits is a project launched by Penn State alumni in the town of Bellefonte, Pennsylvania down the street from the school’s main campus in State College. The location was chosen for its access to Pennsylvania’s most regarded water source which plays an important role in all of their products. Beyond that regional tie, local grains and botanical are used whenever possible to celebrate the state’s central farm belt — in this gin’s case a base spirit of 100 percent corn.
