This bourbon is probably one of my favorites! It’s so rich and yet so smooth at the same time. Classic cherry and oak on the nose, though subdued. The whiskey coats the tongue with an oily intense sweetness and finishes a touch dry and oaky. It’s classic bourbon, but where everything has gone right.
The Nose smells of honey and dried fruit, leaning towards classic fig newton bars with a hint of coconut and raisins. The Palate maintains the sweet dried fruit from the Nose and then melds into cinnamon and leather on the Finish. While short in nature, the glass is delightfully smooth.
This was a surprise find. Loved it so much I had to go back to West Virginia to pick up 3 more bottles! Good job!🥃
