The nose starts off wonderfully oaky with notes of ripe fruit, fresh flowers, floral rye spice and buttered bread. It is perfectly balanced, fresh and invigorating. It is impossible to resist visiting over and over again, but alas you must drink it. The palate is very welcoming, letting you get a sense for all of its flavors before hitting you with a mild burst of rye spice. The creamy oak, ripe fruit and bready notes there in perfect proportions. It warms the mouth, while also being somewhat chewy with a nice subdued richness. It is shocking how easy this is to drink, with a smoothness that comes across as impossible. The finish is medium long with subtle spiciness keeping the mouth tingling, while rich notes of oak linger, as the fruity and floral notes fade.
