Nose is bright and sweet, with notes of brown sugar and orange peel. The palate is soft but full of flavor with a bit of heat. More orange sweetness and a bit of ginger. Light smoke on the finish that is medium short.
About this bottle
Blood Oath Bourbon Pact 2, released in spring 2016, is Luxco's follow up to the first Blood Oath blended bourbon released the previous year. Blood Oath Pact 2 blends three distinct bourbons together - a port-finished 7 year old rye bourbon, an 11 year wheated bourbon, and an 11 year rye bourbon, all aged in new, charred American oak barrels. Blood Oath is a series of limited edition releases that feature different "pacts" or variants of Kentucky straight bourbons.

N: Sweet brown sugar and orange oil. Like an old fashioned with lingering ethanol P: Viscous brown sugar and orange peel turns into a baking spice and oak F: forgettable lingering oak that is very drying
I gave this 3.5/5 because I do not like it as well as Pact 1, & this bottle really opens up with time. UPDATE... 2-14-18 OPENS UP REALLY WELL only gets better with timeππππ but I liked 1 better
Nose: Vanilla, caramel, ginger, milk chocolate Palate: Cinnamon, baking spices, spun sugar, plums, smoke Finish: Deep smoke, caramel, crispy rice, sweet corn, spices
Bitter. Didnβt like it. Sort of an expensive Revel Yell. Iβm a fan of Lux Row but this is terrible. Save your money.
