What bourbon should taste like. My favorite bourbon of 2021 and I will unashamedly rate this one a 5. Word on the street is Dickel sourced but there's not a hint of mineral flavor. My first bottle was straight up vanilla and caramel with a finish that just hangs there in that warm vanilla range. Whatever barrel they sourced this from was a true honey barrel. I've gone back to this and compared to my 10 year van winkle and it's in that range of caramel sweet goodness. There's some more oak in there with the 17 years but it's not overly oaked and it just works in this case. It may be cliche bourbon profile but it's very good cliche bourbon. I personally didn't get much in the way of cherry flavors but that's ok, I have other options for those notes.

Incredible! Super smooth with depth of a higher proof pour. To be honest I was afraid that it would be over oaked but it has great balance. Wish I could get more!

Sweet up front, not complex, but very smooth. Herbal spearmint, vanilla, long dry finish. Not very hot but maple syrup end
