This is the second batch of Blue Run Kentucky Straight Golden Rye Whiskey, the name of which refers to the color of the grains used to make it. This is a limited small-batch rye whiskey of just 102 select barrels, and bottled at 95 proof. It is available as of July 20, 2022 online and at select retailers in the US and Canada.

Nose- caramel, cloves, and cinnamon Body- a bit bitter up front but this gives way to baking spices and pie shell, graham cracker, cinnamon and a hint of pumpkin Finish- cinnamon gives way to a slight hint of mint to finish the drink This is a nice one. As a rye, it splits the difference between rye and bourbon.
Not a spicy rye on the nose …. Very soft. Taste is spicy but not very complex. Not a bad pour, but not worth a bottle price as the taste is pretty simple and spicy. I won’t turn it down but would not be looking for it.
Graham cracker. Minimal heat. Undeniably rye, but subtle spice B loves
