The nose is very floral rye forward, with sweet oak, molasses and touches of vanilla following. The palate is somewhat rich and chewy filling the mouth with a rye that goes from floral to an earthy chocolate, with smooth oak holding it together. Vanilla is there in a supporting way, along with some pepper and brown sugar for an unmistakable rye experience. The finish is gentle and enjoyable with rye sticking to all corners of the mouth while the palate rises and falls, with wonderful peaks and valleys leading to a softly fading and wonderful experience.
Nose - Very light and floral. Lightly toasted brown sugar, and bright oak. A little bit of custard and honey. Palate - Whoah, baked apple pie with cinnamon on top. Lots of barrel char that turns into baking spices. Honey dew on flowers that compliment the oak. A little bit of butterscotch at the end. Mouthfeel is pretty thin. Finish - Finish is oaky and sweet, like the inside of a creme brulee.
Nose- caramelized spiced pecans and hazelnuts, nutmeg and cinnamon, lush rich sweetness over a rye spiced base. Almost no burn even deep in the glass. Taste- very rich buttered banana or zucchini nut bread, toffee, some cigar tobacco, dates, coconut water, mint, orange peel Finish - measured in minutes. Mint, leather, rye spice, oak, cola, brown sugar, sugared orange zest,
Nose: pepper, cinnamon, and earthy Palate: brown sugar and spicy rye Finish: Earthy, leather, and spicy with a small bitterness. This whiskey is unique and absolutely delicious!! I could literally just have a single pour last all day swirling and to smell, just unbelievable! And to think this was considered the bottom of the barrel for the btac for years!
Spice cake and some refreshing herbal freshness on the nose. The palate gives me bright rye spice along with creme brรปlรฉe and barrel notes. For the proof, very smooth, and very well-rounded. The finish is persistent citrus, char and more rye. This is a symphony of flavor, all parts playing together seamlessly.
