Bluegrass Distillers High Rye Bourbon

Nose is a musty floral/spearmint and isn’t very hot. The taste is very minty with some spice and has a bit more heat numbing the roof of my mouth. Not a lot of classic sweet oak bourbon taste (maybe a sign that it’s a younger bourbon) but still very pleasant and complex taste. I’d imagine it would be great in a mint mixed drink.

Easy drinking one. Very floral on the palate (rose). 75% yellow corn, 21% rye, 4% malted barley. Small distillery but good product. Very nice and knowledgeable staff. Well done.

Sampled on site at Bluegrass Distillers. Very colorful peeps. Tasty drinky-drinks.

Smooth and sweet. Apricot and vanilla with spice. Citrus and woody finish.
