Some apple, heavy oak and pepper on the nose along with a little bitter caramel. The flavor profile doesnt sit great with me. It opened up with a slight fruit note at the beginning, but dissipates quickly. Oak heavy. More on the nutry side with some burn near the end. Its a bit hotter than what the proof is. Its an okay bottle. Some of the flavors work alright together, but its pretty average.

A rich, High Rye Bourbon by IJW Whiskey crafted with a blend of Kentucky Boubons aged for a minimum of 4 years in toasted & charred American oak barrels before being bottled at 45% ABV. It has an aromatic birth with notes of grain, wood & spices; while a rich life adds notes of notes of toasted rye crackers & caramel; that led to a burnt caramel death of medium length. July 2024 / March 2025
Bondstone Whiskey Co. has outdone itself. I am a big fan of the Double Oak but Toasted is a new favorite. Carmel on the nose, complex toasted oak flavors with a little bit of spice, smooth finish… very nicely done!
This is simply wonderful! Right now its my favorite bourbon. Black walnut on the palette and a finish that last forever!
I think i like this better than their double oak. Has charred, toasty flavor. Caramel undertones. Fuller body
Its ok if you open it up with some ice. Heavy spice but flavor lacks.
