Nose is buttery oak , baking spice , leather, black tea .Palate is very nice with the Booker dry peanut signature flavor backbone with notes of fennel seed and toasted oak with a slight oily mouthfeel . With a small cube of ice this pour really shows off . Flavors explode into notes of oak , warm vanilla, and dark cocoa. While you give up the pleasant oiliness with the ice/water you get a more expressive and approachable pour . Perhaps my favorite Booker batch since my old favorite Kathleens batch.

I never reviewed this one back in May when I first tried it... kind'a slipped my mind! But tonight, I conducted a blind between the "Master Distiller's" 2024-03, "By The Pond" 2025-02, and this here "Barry's" 2025-01 Batches.... Barry's tied the Master Distiller's for 1st place. That's all I got! 4.0 stars.
This is honestly the best batch of Booker's I've had in years and years... Been enjoying them since 2013. Better than country ham, Kentucky tea, all the hype bottles of past. This is pure rich sweet Kentucky Bourbon. Little to no typical peanut shell. So good.
This is very good. I can taste and smell peanuts, and it blends so well with the spices β cinamon, brown sugar, nutmeg. The aftertaste isnβt great, but itβs deceptively smoother than some releases. Thank you, Michelle! Happy 23!
Obviously itβs hit out of the Glencarn, however nice flavour and aroma. But when you go for seconds, on a cube, the flavours open up like Niagara Falls!!! Absolutely amazing. Just wish i had a cigar to go with it!!! Cheers π₯
Sweet with some heat and complexity. Baking spices and caramel are vety prevalent. Maybe a splash of water to open things up and calm them down
