I have mixed feelings on this one. I love me a Bookers. This one is unconventional with the Tequila finish. You still get the Bookers nutiness and heat. If I did a blind, I probably wouldnt peg this as a $130 bottle.
About this bottle
The Reserves is a limited edition annual series created by 8th generation Master Distiller Freddie Noe to commemorate his grandfather, 6th generation Master Distiller Booker Noe. For this second edition, Freddie chose barrels with some history. First the barrels aged Booker's 30th Anniversary Bourbon. Next the barrels traveled to Jalisco, Mexico where they aged El Tesoro 85th Anniversary Extra Añejo Tequila. Then the barrels returned back to Clermont, Kentucky to finish a batch of Booker's Bourbon. Aged for 8 years 10 months and 11 days, it's bottled at 123.5 proof. Notably, this is the first time a product has been finished in tequila barrels across the Beam portfolio. The Reserves 2025 is available nationwide beginning September 2025. (SRP $129.99)
