Discovered Boru in college after a vodka pilgrimmage to Russia where I acquired an entry-level understanding of good vs. bad vodka. I found this vodka again recently, and it holds up as a very smooth and inoffensive vodka. Compared to the ultra-cheap stuff and the overpriced/overrated/heavily marketed brands, Boru is a genuinely great value for a very good mixing vodka.

About this bottle
Boru Vodka is named for Ireland's High King Brian Boru who was given the honor in 1002. He is most known for his famous Battle of Clontarf in 1014 where he and his men conquered the Vikings, but he died in battle. The vodka is made from locally-grown grain and Irish spring water. It is five times distilled.
