Boxcar is easily one of the nastiest, fake-tasting "whiskeys" I've ever tasted. I've never tasted kerosene, but I'd imagine this is pretty close to what it tastes like.
Boxcar Texas Whiskey
About this bottle
Boxcar Texas Whiskey is produced by Rio Brazos Distillery in the Lone Star State of Texas. It's made by blending whiskeys pot-distilled from a mashbill of corn, rye, and malted barley and aged in used oak barrels for an unspecified amount of time. The blend is then"filtered through coarse charred pecan wood" before it's bottled at 45% ABV.

Light and floral with subtle hints of honey and brown sugar. Sweet, but not cloying. Easy to drink. An ideal base for Manhattans and Old Fashioneds.
Middle bite, asphalt, weak on the nose, cherry medicinal
ok, not a clear aroma note
