Very smooth, no harsh bite - although I prefer their Botanicals variety
About this bottle
The Penderyn Distillery opened in 2000 as a whisky distillery. While waiting for its whisky stock to mature, the distillery decided to produce other spirits with quicker turnover. One of these spirits was Brecon Gin, named after the nearby Brecon Mountains and Beacon National Park, where the distillery is located. The gin begins with a malted barley base spirit. Ten botanicals - juniper berries, orange peel, cassia bark, licorice root, cinnamon bark, angelica root, ground nutmeg, coriander seed, lemon peel and orris root - are then added. This gin expression is bottled at 40% ABV.
