Some caraway type presence; reminiscent of aquavit. Tastes a bit like it's been cut with vodka; there's some generic grain alcohol presence.

About this bottle
Brennivín is a caraway-flavored aquavit made in Iceland where it was first introduced in 1935, just after Prohibition there was partially lifted. Its stark black and white label was designed as a deterrent, but naturally it had the opposite effect. Commonly referred to as svartidauði or Black Death, Brennivín was first introduced to the US in 2014.

Strong caraway flavor. A bit like drinking rye bread. Enjoyable.
