About this bottle
This whiskey begins with Kentucky straight bourbon (70% corn, 21% rye, 9% malted barley) distilled by Owensboro Distilling Co. and was aged at least 2 years. Then bourbon was dumped and batched into a tank and further aged with selected oak staves. In this case, 40% of the staves were former bourbon barrels, 40% new French oak, and 20% sherry cask. Bottled at 95 proof, this updated Small Batch Bourbon was released by the brand in late January 2022.

Breakfast in a glass. Corn flakes and rye toast are at the forefront. The staves add a sharpness only slightly tempered by the sweetness of the sherry. A solid performer.
Hot throughout. Not much on the flavor front. Rather one note. Mostly heat and slight dried fruitiness.
Phenomenal nose with thick maple syrup and white chocolate. Very soft on the palate with an easy finish
Neat: Vanilla, rye spice, wheat. Good sipper.
Hot, nothing too dostinct about it.
