Campfire, cocoa and salted almond nose with the candied orange from the pro review. Creamy palate delivers on the nose with an added hint of citrus and sagebrush. Medium dry, savory finish dusted with cocoa. I like it a little better than their Baller single malt. Not complex but good.
About this bottle
This is the 22nd edition of the St. George Distillery Lot series of single malt whisky, which began in 2000. Lot 22 includes a total of 20 barrels, and in addition to bourbon and Tennessee whiskey casks, there are inclusions such as apple brandy, port, and California Sauternes-style wine casks. The oldest single cask is more than eight years old, the youngest is four and a half years, and the oldest blended component stretches back 23 years. The whiskey hit retail shelves in November 2022.
