Meh… Aroma isn’t bad, just boring and comes through like slightly spicy clay; Palate is a touch fruity but mostly young and woody; Finish is the best part and seems to pull out more mature and complex notes than the rest.

This Isle of Peat bottling from Broken Barrel Whiskey Co. (fka Infuse Spirits) is one of three releases in the Single Oak Series. The whiskey is a blend of American wheat whiskey and American single malt whiskey, each at least one year-old. After blending, the whiskey is further matured with former peated whisky oak staves from Islay. Only 6600 bottles produced. Bottled at 110 proof.

Strong campfire forward, slight damp/tobacco notes, char finish, long lasting flavor. Lingers a lot.
Butterscotch nose, not much smoke, sweet and savory mouth, short finish.
All bourbon flavor no peat but overall done very well. Tons of vanilla.
