discovered this from the 2020 bourbon advent calendar. Love hearing about the new distillery opening up, best of luck to the three brothers! On the nose I immediately thought of scotch. I’m not a scotch fan, I don’t like peat. But for some reason this gives me a scotch vibe. Might be a great gateway for scotch drinker’s into the world of bourbon. keep in mind I’m still new to this hobby myself, so what the heck do I know? :-) On the nose I also got creamy vanilla. I feel the palate is soft and spicy and I taste malt even though it’s only 4% of the mash bill. Finish was light and simple, coating the tongue. Not a high proof, again… I think this is a great gateway drink for folks learning about the world of whiskey.

Good barrel notes of richness, smooth vanilla and slight smell of caramel. Heavy smoke that hits you in the face. Reminiscent of a peaty scotch. Medicinal flavors with strong cinnamon heat and lingering finish but not a strong cinnamon flavor. Long finish and solid bourbon. Very interesting sipper.
Aged 6 months, sourced by MGP (because it’s distilled in Indiana). 82 proof provides such a smooth mouthfeel that I would recommend this to anyone getting into bourbon. Distillery opening in Louisville sometime in the next month with a new batch coming!
Absolutely incredible. Been searching high and low for this product. These gentlemen have absolutely outdone themselves with this. Great flavor. Goes down extremely smooth. Definitely earned a life long consumer here. Keep up the great work guys!
Smooth, but the spice can overpower the front. I don’t get any bright notes, instead something earthy - more mineral like. I feel like with a high corn content it should be somewhat sweeter. After a few sips, it mellows out the spice.
Tasting neat: Nose doesn’t offer much, some sweet corn and mild wood spice. Palate is thin with more sugared corn and cinnamon spice. Finish is pleasant and soft, with hints of oak and vanilla.
